Secret Geek

Well, I am a geek, no doubt about it. Or is it a nerd? I get confused about the differences.

Yes, I like anime, but that's a new development.
I've been raised on scifi, and I like it. (So there.)
And I've shocked everyone at one point or another with the fact that, yes, I know who Jean-Luc Picard is. In fact, he's my favorite Star Trek captain!
Oh yeah, I know who Porthos is. Beat that.
(For the record, he's Jonathan Archer's dog.)

I just cored 40% on a "How Geek Are You?" quiz. Why? I can hide the fact that I'm a geek. Okay, to a point. I finally blew my cover at school, after years of secretly loving it. I just don't look like a geek. (I have some measure of fashion sense...just not the same as everyone else. Why? I hate miniskirts. TAKE THAT ROY MUSTANG! Ok, there I go again...)

I have issues embracing my inner geek. Oh well, people still love me. (Geeks and non-geeks alike.) For the most part, anyways. Yes, believe it or not, I have a few people who just can't stand me. =P

So, anyways, those are just my thoughts on geekhood, if they make any sense at all.

Until next time,

The Heist

What's sad is I came up with an awesome subject and title yesterday. Oh well....You win some, you lose some.

Well, for now I'm focusing on my one story, All I Live For, on Inkpop, but I might edit and post my first finished novel sometime in the future. It remains poorly named at Beautiful Ashes, which would fool ANYONE reading it.

What it's really about is a group of high tech thieves pulling a heist on Fort Knox. They're some of the best characters I've ever written, but the storyline could use some work. My favorite character is Tristan, the genius son of a mafia boss who orchestrated the whole thing. He's sort of the antihero/bad guy/undecided. Either way, he's awesome.

The main character is Missy, a rancher's daughter who received several bionic replacements after an accident she shouldn't have lived through.

And then there's Alyssa. There is no way to describe Alyssa. Alyssa is just...Alyssa. That weird Italian woman who plays supermodel by day and daredevil thief by night. I swear, she could steal the Eiffel Tower.

And Ian, the real life Superman. Technology gave him the ability to summon adrenaline at any time he wants, so he's super strong. (And soon shares a special friendship with Missy, since he's easygoing and she...can be a real jerk XD)

There are seven characters in total, playing the roles of:
-Mastermind (Tristan)
-Novice in Training (Missy)
-Hacker
-Thief (Alyssa)
-Security Specialist
-The muscle (Ian)

And then there's Tristan's dad, but he only plays the part of supplying the goods to break in. Marcus has what, five lines through the entire unedited story? (If that many...) Put together with his trusty, unnamed body guards, he makes one whole character though.

And I can honestly say, though there are many heist stories out there, I've never read one with a bionic woman and a human computer. Oceans 11 can inspire some weird stories.

Inkpop!

Again,no original title. For some reason, they just haven't been coming to me with blog posts.

Well I had my first tennis clinic, and it was SO fun. I loved the coach. I'm still nervous about practice, since the coach is different there. My shoulder is killing me since this is the first time I've ever played tennis...like, at all. It was kind of fun!(Since sports and I don't get along, thats saying something) Still, my shoulder's been acting up all day, even before the clinic.

I've posted one of my WIPs in this new site, Inkpop. I've gotten so many uplifting comments, I love that place already! I find myself addicted to it.

My friends think I act like Temperance Brennan off of Bones. It's getting crazy.....

Okay, moving on.

Okay, Love you Guys!
